While staying on the same street we have walked by this place several of times. It was our last morning so we had to give it a go. We waited for around 10 min. for a seat but it was worth it. The pancakes were thick and fluffy. Open kitchen so you can see, hear and smell the grill action. The place had a vintage coffee house feel with also a smoking section which was rare by design. We enjoyed our sought after western breakfast and left satisfied

Cute, homey cafe with excellent pancakes and coffee. The red bean pancakes were particularly delicious! The service is stellar and the owners are very friendly and kind. They welcomed us and several others in during a massive storm and let us sit while it poured outside. Highly recommend.

A great cafe experience. I can recommend the melon soda float and the red bean pancakes. The staff is friendly and helpful. Lots of local visitors. A wheelchair user in the cafe was easily accommodated. A definite recommendation.

Very adorable little coffee shot for the famed fluffy Japanese pancake. The gentleman (owner?) who was extremely welcoming makes 4 at a time with care and precision. Lattes were great as well. One thing of note - the sign and google maps say 8:30 opening but we all stood in line until 9 which was when he actually opened the doors. We were served in order of our position in line. Arigato for a delicious breakfast!

Great service, great food, lots of locals, and great prices, highly recommend! Staff was very friendly and offered to move us from a bar seat to a table when one opened up, even after serving our drinks. Pancakes were delicious, and the scrambled eggs were perfect. Matcha latte and coffee were also on point. Worth a visit if you’re craving a western style breakfast on your trip to Kyoto.

Cute little cafe serving up pancakes and toast for breakfast and rice dishes for lunch. The adzuki beans toast was a delight with its spongy bread and perfectly sweetened beans. They didn't have oat milk. The staff spoke very little english but nothing google translate couldn't help with
